Water heating

Has anyone used a waterbed heater to heat your birth pool?

I have a fishy pool and was really curious if that would work. It'd be cheaper then getting a pool with a heater in it already thats for sure. I just need ideas and I'm getting close to delivering and worried about not having enough hot water.

I have one of those lame water heaters that run out of hot water before you finish if you take a long shower. I was really worried about running out of hot water while filling the tub. I had several big pots on hand in case I needed to heat some water on the stove. I used the sevylor pool and I ended up having plenty of hot water to fill it up. I never even used the pots. And once the water started to cool down, my dh would scoop some cold water out of the pool with a big bowl and dump it down the bathtub and we'd turn the hot water back on and fill the pool up some more. It worked just fine for both homebirths.

Just turn up your water heater and you'll be fine.
