...in Providence...an hour away...

Maybe I'll give birth there, during dd1's class...for educational purposes...

But, I doubt it.

Not in your DDC, and totally tangential -

I went to the zoo several years ago with my dc and mom. While visiting the elephant house, I saw the pregnant elephant swaying back and forth on her feet like a laboring human mama does. I pointed it out to my mom and told her it looked like the elephant mama was going to have her baby soon. My mom asked the keeper when the baby was "due", and the keeper said, "Oh, in another few weeks".

Mama elephant birthed a 325 pound "little" bull calf : early the next morning.

It sounds like an adventure, even if you don't give birth. Just think of the stories you'll be able to tell this baby. "Well, we were expecting you to show up at any moment, but we decided to go to the zoo anyway"

Seriously, hoping that things pick up for you soon.

Aw... I miss Roger Williams. Have fun! We had a class field trip there every year (I grew up in RI).
