I have been working as a birth doula for several years, and am just getting started doing some postpartum doula work. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to determine what fee to charge for postpartum work? I am in Northeast PA, not too far from Elmira, NY so I work both sides of the border. Median income for my immediate area is only $24,000. There are those earning significantly more than that scattered throughout the rural areas, and out toward Elmira/Corning, NY. Any ideas for what would be a reasonable rate to charge in this scenario without scaring away potential clients due to cost? Michelle
