Ok....ahem. My baby ( I have two others) is 6 months old. I just found out I am pregnant!!

Whoa!!! I feel like...very overwhelmed. Can I keep up? I am happy, but stressed!

Congratulations! I know people with children close in age and though it is stressful at times they say that the children ended up being very close and playing so well together. You can do it!

thanks! for the record I have a 3 1/2 yr old a 2 yr old and the 6 month old.

It feels overwhelming sometimes. Thank God for my Dh.

I'm almost in that boat with you - my baby just turned one. I think you'll be fine. There'll be some hard days, but there always are whether it's a 4 year difference, a 2 year difference, or even if you had an only child! Just keep telling yourself "this too shall pass"

Congratulations. My husband's family is close like that, he is #2 of 4 kids all approximately 18-24mths apart (except the last since his mom had a MC right before him). His mom seemed to thrive on the fact that they all were so close. She was not even 50yrs and all the kids were off at college or HS boarding (by his choice). Right now they are 28 yrs, 27 yrs, 25 (in Jan), and 22. They all are really good friends and have so much in common especially now that they are all in their 20ies. :

I have twelve months between two of my kids and all the others are roughly 15-18 months. It can be hard work at times but they are great times too. Get as much rest as you can and go with the flow.

Not in your DDC, but just wanted to tell you, "Yes you can!" My mom had 12 babies in 16 years. She is still alive and mostly coherent . Actually, she went back to school when #12 was in 1st grade, got her BS, MS, and eventually a Ph.D. So yes, you will survive. There will be some intense years, but it you can do this!

wow your mom must have been (is) a saint. Good for her going back to school. Hopefully my mind will not be mush towards the end of having babies. I would like to still keep active.

Saint, not even close. Pretty darn close to it though. She's an awesome lady and the older I get, the more impressed I am with her!!!! (Isn't that the way it always is though? Mom starts looking really smart about the time your first kid becomes a teenager.)

She has now authored several books and is one of the most widely respected speakers in her discipline, so there is hope for all of us in the thick of Mommy-brain syndrome.

It's true about admiring your mom only after you have had your own. I tell my mom now, " I don't know how you managed, dad was always on business trips and you kept the house so nice and homeschooled us!"/

I am with ya - all of mine are about 18 mo apart - it is a little crazy but I love it. I am pretty scared for this next one. DH is glad. He said if I wasn't a little scared he would be! You can do it! You just figure out what works for you.

I'm in your boat too -- my 3rd and 4th will be 16 months apart and while I am excited, I go through periods where I am almost panicked at the prospect of two babies! And I've never tandem nursed before so that will be new. Deep breaths, we will be fine, just like women who have done this before us.

I also go throught periods of totally glee ( sounds nerdy huh?).
When they all are piled up on me and giving me hugs....ahhh bliss!

You are due August 8th? I am due somewhere around that time. I don't know exactly. I had one period then I got pregnant and my memory is fuzzy about the date. I think the last day of my last period was the 30th. I think

Today was one of those days that I really wonder about it all too... my 2 year old was a beast. He literally whined all day. I swear he needs to sleep for about a week... I think I that I am due about the 14th, I was just indicating Aug '08.
