Well, I had a Yuengling with dinner and then a cup of tea, and am now working on a dishcloth for Christmas presents. So we are knitting together?

i'm going to join in a little bit. it's project runway tonight. a glass of wine and finishing the swiffer cozy and doing some knitting on my sweater.

i'm knitting now too - a pair of fuzzy feet for MIL. i finished felting my birdhouse and am going to sew it together tomorrow.

towson - your card is great! i need to pick mine up from the photo place tomorrow, i'm afraid it will be another week before i even get to it.

ETA: lofty - i think i found a pair of snowpants today, sorry it is taken me so long. i am struggling through the end of this semester -it's kicking my right now!

OT, I realize, but since we are all knitting. Do you weave in the ends for a dishcloth? I never knot and cut, but it seems like it might be appropriate?

Hi!!!

I've missed you all so much! It's been a crazy fall and almost all of my internet time has been spent at Ravelry (and some time that didn't really belong to me...too much time.). I've been meaning to come in here for ages, but my last link to the site got lost way back at the bottom of my email and I just got to sloshing through it all on Sunday. I'm just jumping in right here, so I know I've missed tons and tons of what's happening in all your lives.

I've been running sporadically. Usually twice a week, but sometimes one of those runs was a 4 mile uphill walk (also gets that heartrate up!). My sister wants me to do a half marathon with her in July and I'd like to do one in April, so I need to get back on the wagon in a big way. I've asked for a HR monitor for Christmas.

Anyway, hello and to all of you!!!

I'm knitting tonight, too! Well, actually crocheting. I've never done it before, but a friend showed me how tonight so I've been adding the trim to these. So far, not so bad!

CherylAnn, it's so good to see you! We have missed you around here. :

Moonshine, I do weave in the ends for a dishcloth, but I think it would be OK to knot too.

moonshine - i do both for dishcloths: knot and weave in. i guess i just feel better that way since they get used so much. also - i think you should do the thai thing! after reading eat, pray, love, i think everyone should try and follow their passions y'know, within reason, i guess

CherylAnn! How funny that you're checking in! I was just thinking about you on my way home from dropping dd off at school! So good to see you! I'm a step closer to being a state mate! Maybe we can meet up this summer with Megs (and anyone else who wants to be in the vicinity!)

Moonshine - Thanks' for throwing that wine idea out there last night! I needed the excuse .

Argh, cards! : I still have a couple baby announcements to send out (like um, to my brother) But you know the old saying about relatives being the people you're assigned to and family being the people you choose? So those as-yet-unmade Christmas cards may still beat some other items out the door!

Good Morning! CherylAnn, so glad you popped in . Both DDs are giving me fits about everything this morning. Argh! Probably because St. Nicholas brought chocolate last night and they started their day off with a heaping handful of Lindt :.

Last night's Christmas party was a blast. Our sitter never showed up, so we brought the kids to a friend's house and then went to the party. I scarfed down 2 glasses of sangria first thing . And ate the most delicious scallops for dinner. Yum!

I'm headed to the Y now to work off some of that yumminess on the treadmill and elliptical.

Eksmom, how are you feeling?

plady, you'll be here by summer?

I think I'm getting together with Monica and Megs on Dec. 15. At least, I'm planning on it. The exact whereabouts are still TBD, but I'm very excited!

I'm about to go do a short run on the TM. It'll be 3 runs in 3 days albeit short ones.

hey cheryl, nice to "see" you back!

so, I spent a lot of last night in the ER, getting fluids and meds. I had gotten up to make my jillionth trip to the potty and passed out, and dh found me on the floor of our bathroom, tried to get me up, and I got incoherently upset with him because I just wanted to stay on the floor, which scared the beejeezus out of him, so we went (thankfully our neighbors came to be here in case the kids woke up which they did not) and after two bags of fluids plus some lovely meds, I was feeling MUCH better. I'm really tired today and am going back for another check later. I really wish I knew why these things dragged on for me. Argh.

Oh gosh, mamabeth, that sounds scary. I'm glad your DH tracked you down; I hope you weren't passed out long. It's good you didn't hit your head or anything! Take it easy and I hope you are feeling better soon!!!
