December Dingos ~ Running Through the Holidays! - Page 9

Oh my gosh mamabeth! I hope you're ok.

More snow today. SWEET!
Wow, Beth! Scary stuff, glad you're doing better. Sometimes drugs do help, tho' they're always a last resort for me too!

I'm sorry I missed the virtual dingos knitting group last night! However, I did have a Full Sail IPA as I was making green chile chicken burritos for dinner last night. I've been too busy working to knit these days.

Some forward motion was accomplished today - I walked about a mile, mile and a half. : It still hurt my groin muscles, but I had to do something physical to counteract the holiday indulgence.

Welcome back Cheryl!

Eksmom, can you PM me with the Frappr info?

Yikes Beth! I'm glad your DH found you and took action despite your desire to stay on the floor.

More snow tonight. Much, much, much work to be done, and I'm kind of freaking out about it. Back to work!

so, I spent a lot of last night in the ER, getting fluids and meds. I had gotten up to make my jillionth trip to the potty and passed out, and dh found me on the floor of our bathroom, tried to get me up, and I got incoherently upset with him because I just wanted to stay on the floor, which scared the beejeezus out of him, so we went (thankfully our neighbors came to be here in case the kids woke up which they did not) and after two bags of fluids plus some lovely meds, I was feeling MUCH better. I'm really tired today and am going back for another check later. I really wish I knew why these things dragged on for me. Argh.
MamaBeth, How awful! I'm glad you are feeling better!

Cherylann~I've been asking about you! Glad to see you back these parts. Half training, huh? COOL!

Kate~mom, is that your pic with you at a finish line? If so, I'm totally crackin' up at the guy on the right!!

I'm still struggling with some names on the frappr site because they are different than the user names here. The map is lookin' really cool though even though I dont' know who's who.

Just did some cleaning for the last two hours, off for abs, pt work and hopefully some yoga.

grnmtnmama~still doing your core work?

mamabeth-feel better!!!

I weave in the ends w. the dishcloths as well.

I am feeling much better-still a little m.s. but it is tapering and still pretty tired, but I had my 12 wk appt this week and it went great. I got to talk to my favorite dr and he totally put my mind at ease, so I am going to try to enjoy this pregnancy from this point forward!

My dad's last round of chemo was also this week-and he will have his scans and bone marrow biopsy in six weeks to see where he stands. His dr is very hopeful-and my dad is in a great mood-should be a much better Christmas than last year-when he was in the middle of being diagnosed.

grnmtnmama-I absolutely love the banner you made for your craft shows-it is such a great idea and turned out so well!!

hi cherylann good to see you over here!

I really need to pick up the needles again-I am so close to feeling like it, but then whenever I get close I start feeling sick again. Did anyone else have this issue knitting while pregnant? I am hoping it passes-I need to get some soakers and shorties made for this little one. I didn't start CDing K until she was 9 months-so I don't have any of the little stuff-can't wait to make some! In a few months I will need to pick your brains on what you used for the little ones. I mainly did prefolds with K from 9 mo. until PL and am thinking I will just buy smaller prefolds for this one.

We also had to put our second cat down It was so sudden-she started not going upstairs at night for two nights-she always sleeps with us. And the second day her breathing became somewhat labored. The next morning I brought her in to the vet for some tests. Left her there since the xrays were going to take a little time-dh calls me a few hours later telling me her lungs have already started collapsing. So we met him over there to say goodbye-K and I said goodbye and went into the waiting room while dh stayed with Bella. I think she so horribly missed her brother that when she started getting sick-she just gave up-didn't fight at all. It was just so sudden-and our house is so strangely quiet-we have had them for 12.5 years. Very strange not to have any little paws running around.

I need to stay caught up on here but its been hard. K isn't taking naps anymore, but I am trying to still get her to do some quiet time-which is obviously way shorter than her naps used to be-so I don't always get computer time in the afternoon anymore.

Have I even started on Christmas shopping or even thinking about Christmas cards?? Somehow I will get it done-I just hate putting everything off until the last minute.

Mamabeth - how scary! I'm glad you are doing better and dh wasn't sleeping soundly and didn't find you till morning!

grnmtnmama - I just sent you an order - think I'll get it in time for Christmas present giving?

CherylAnn - how nice to see you! I'd been thinking about you and wondering how you were.

RM - I hope you can get your butt going soon and be training again. I think I'm going to plan on training for the Indy Mini, and hope I can get a bib, with the option to back out then if I change my mind.

I caught up on sleep last night. Went to bed at 9 pm and slept until dh woke me at 6:30 am. Felt marvelous! But of course I haven't run since Sunday due to the up all night issue. Hopefully tonight!

Yikes, MamaB... I'm glad you are on the mend.

OK, mostly popping in to vent!!! I waited freakin' FOREVER for a snowsuit I bought off eBay (suit for Geneva, not for me). Finally arrives today. REEEEEEEKS of cigarette smoke. Like, I handled it long enough to toss it in the washer and hope it comes out better, and my hands smell nasty now. If it even remotely whiffs of ashtray after I wash it, I am taking it to the consignment store immediately. There's no way I'll have my kid smelling like that. Ugh.

It was supposed to be 'brand new without tags!' Ick ick ick ick ick.
Megs, did the seller say it was from a smoke-free home?

This is OT, but thought y'all might find it interesting: Princess Power. I'll keep my snarky comments to myself for now.

ICK ICK ICK!!!

Email your seller and ask for $$ off (even if you're gonna sell it).
What size do you need? I might be able to hook you up for free.
