Purple Stork rocks!

I got my birth announcements in the mail this weekend! Woohoo!

Yeah, they're pricey, but it's my first baby and I'm super excited.
Plus, I'm rationalizing it as a combo birth announcement/holiday card.

Here's the e-proof they sent me. I'm not sure how long it's valid, but I wanted to share pictures of my cutie with you.

Thanks!

You guys should have seen our 'photo shoot' - it was hysterical. Somehow when I decided I would do announcement/holiday cards I forgot that meant I'd have to take pics of a 10-day or so old baby. Not exactly the most cooperative subject.

The swaddle/sleep pics were really easy, but I wanted a few where his eyes were actually open, so I unswaddled him (which really annoyed him!) and tried to get some 'happy' shots. Yeah, not gonna happen, Mom. I ended up posing him, nursing for a few gulps so he'd stop crying but not a full meal which would put him to sleep. Then, re-pose, re-nurse, new pic.

DH commented that high fashion models would be a lot closer to normal weight if professional photographers used this technique!

That is ADORABLE! I think we may splurge for some purplestork ones too.
