when can i take a full bath? can i use epsom salts?tia

I've been having baths since right after each birth (we have no shower). Had a second degree tear the first time, only a minor one this time, no issues either time.

I'm guessing epsom salts are fine, since they seem to be in some of the sitz bath formulations that are out there (though not all). But not 100% sure of this.

Bathes are recommended asap with the herbal bath tea from my midwives pp and the tea is made with epson salts....felt like heaven and had great healing herbs for mama and baby.

With DD1 I had bad tearing and stitches and was still advised to take a healing bath asap. Enjoy.

I had a bath as soon as i got home from the hospital, with epsom salts in it, and had them frequently for 1 week pp. I had a second degree tear.
