My kids have a 2hr delay.... they're a little upset about that It always throws me off though... I keep looking at the clock and thinking they should be doing this or that now to be ready for their bus/van but then I remember to add on 2hrs. Enjoy your snow day! We really just got a coating of snow but ice on top... fun stuff!

I live in Canada. We have about a foot of snow right now & will end up with 8 or more feet by the end of the year. We have -35temps all last week.

The closest thing to a snow day we get is if you live on a farm & the busses don't run, or there is a blizzard coming so they take you home early. Even if the busses didn't run we made dad start a vehicle & drive us into school.lol The 1 year we had to CRAWL over the snow to get 1/4mile from our house so a neighbor could pick us up & drive us a mile down the road to get to the bus.lol

I lived in Fresno, CA the time it snowed about a 1/2 inch for the first time in 12 years... People were going 25mph on the road and all the schools were closed.

I live out on the Tundra in Alaska, and last Friday we had a WARM day... well, just a late start. Now, we have school when it's crazy raging blizzarding (all the kids come to school by snowmobile anyway, so roads aren't an issue... especially since there aren't any roads ), and when it's 40 below zero, no problem. But it was above freezing for several days in a row, and the river started to thaw (GRR). A bunch of our students live on the other side of the river and there's no bridge, so we had to put off school until it was slightly lighter (although at 10am, it's hardly lighter out than in the middle of the night at this time of year ) so people could walk across more safely.
