mine is 10. Never stops. It can be exhausting--especially when she repeats the same story for about the tenth time.:

Hmm. My 11yo isn't so bad with the talking. It's my 6yo who chatters incessantly.! At least my 11yo talks about interesting things and actually listens to what other people are saying around her!

My 13yo talks a lot, but not always to me. She gets far more phone calls than I do! And I still don't recall her being a chatterbox at age 11.

I actually have come to appreciate this aspect of Dd (3 of 6) personality. She is ready to share and commune and to ask questions and seek answers...much more than I can say for her two older sisters or her younger siblings.

Enjoy it while it lasts, honestly.

When they're quiet, it's scary.

LOL! My 11y.o. dd has never stopped talking. She's always talked - even in her sleep! There are days I just have to say "shhh.... please, I need a few minutes..." She'll tell me everything - I mean EVERYTHING... every detail of whatever is going on in her brain, what happened in her conversation with a friend (even to the point of half their life story), to the latest news on Corbin Bleu, to her great new business idea... it just doesn't stop. Well, that's not true... if there is something I really REALLY want information about (i.e. "what did grandma have to say when she called?") - I get very little ("not much"). LOL!

My dd is 12 and she is a non-stop talking machine. My mom says she takes after me. She is forever telling me word for word what went on that day. Of course it's usually when she first gets home and her brother is trying to do homework. I hope soon it will slow down.

Apparently my dd is not a talker in that way because I get "not much" all of the time! It's like pulling teeth to get her to tell me about her weekend with her dad or her spanish class, piano class, whatever, but she'll tell me every last detail of the book she just read or a story she's writing.
