Have any of you come up with little nicknames for your baby? Mairaed has become "Popeye" because she oftentimes has one eye open- especially while nursing. It is so funny! Even DH is calling her that.

I call her Sweet Pea, which is just generic term of endearment. We also call her Grumblestiltskin because she doesn't cry--she just groans and grimaces like a grumpy old man, as if everything we do displeases her.

Conrad is La Petite Singe (sp? -- The little monkey in French) because of his little squishy face and his fuzzy hair... and because calling your child a little monkey sounds better in French.

Lachlan is Lochness Monster, Loccoli Broccoli, Lachly...

He reminds me of a little baby dinosaur or creature, so the fisrt one was easy to come by.

Ha- my nickname at my old job (I have no idea why) was "The Monkey with the Red Ass" but spoken in creole. The haitian dishwashers used to call me that but none of have ever seen my arse... which is certainly not red. It is more of a pasty white.... :

Squirt. Sadly because his very adible diaper sounds. (Is that gross or cute? I can't decide.) But shhh, we tell everyone it's just a cute nickname for the little guy.

hahaha, we call wren the grumpus -- but my husband often calls her grumplestiltskin, too. too funny.

we have a million nicknames for her, too many to list here. the other day i spent 15 minutes just cooing different terms of endearment that were related to food at her -- "are you my sweet pea? are you my gingersnap? etc etc"

So far he's just Mr. S. Or the Squirmler.

DD was the Poopsmith (due to her expertise in pooping), so thus far this LO has gotten off lightly in the nickname department.
