X-Post: flu shot in pregnancy? Helps or hurts the babY?

Trying to decide whether to get the flu shot--I'm due really soon...I do have the mercury-free one available...The only reason I'd get it is if there is evidence that my baby would also get anti-flu antibodies? Trying to decide if my daughter (who is 6, but immunosuppressed, so she qualifies to get it if we want her to) should get it as well...

I sort of want compelling evidence to talk me out of any of us getting it--like maybe that it doesn't really help or can cause damage even without the thimerosol, but I can't find anything online, only sources that all say what a great idea it is...?

Anyone have thoughts...? I posted in pregnancy forum, but thaought maybe someone in this forum would know a lot about this...?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

reading around this forum definitely solidifed my feelings on not getting a flu shot, especially while pregnant. The links above were big for me in the decision but also others if you look in the archives.
