Ok, DD is 6 months old now. DH and I have decided that we don't want our DC spaced to far apart. I am exclusively breastfeeding and we have chosen to forgo condoms and let nature take its course.
I was just wondering if any other mamas have done this and about how long was it before AF came back or you got pregnant???
Even if we got preg tomorrow (unlikely, LOL) the next babe wouldn't be here until DD1 is around a year and a half.
Any comments or advice is welcome.

I just posted in your TAO thread Anyway, we never used BC after my DD was born, and she's 14 months and I just started my 3rd PP cycle this week. I got my cycle back when she was 12 months, 2 weeks after she started eating solids.

If you google quiverfull you'll find a bunch of people who don't use BC and naturally space their children. We personally aren't 'die hard quiverfull' but we tend toward that.

I hope I dont offend by asking, but are there any sites like that that are not religion based??

Not offended at all. I don't know of any, but you could try 'ecological breastfeeding' and see what you come up with

Thanks for the idea!

My DD's are almost 4y apart, and the last year I had to really try to get pg with DD2, I got pg with DD1 on the first try. Apparently my body does NOT want to get pg while bfing, no AF until DD1 was 2.5y old. : DD2 is 13m old and we have never avoided, I'm not wanting my DC close together, but also do not prevent, then again knowing my past history I know I'm not getting pg without help as long as I am bfing.

Average time when fertility returns for ecological breastfeeders is 15-18 months.

After my first was born we didn't use much BC, sometimes loosely used FAM. My cycles returned when DS was 6 mo, even though he was exclusively bf and nursing all night until after age 1. I got pg right on DS's 1st birthday. It was somewhat of a surprise. DD was born when DS was 21 mo. old. Just to let you know, I lost my milk when I was 4 mo. pregnant... so that was sort of unfortunate, and something you might want to keep in mind. DS pretty much quit nursing. But then when DD was born and he was 21 mo., he started again and I tandem nursed for 8 months. If breastfeeding for a long time is important to you, you might want to really think about getting pg again really soon. "Adventures in Tandem Nursing" by Hilary Flowers is really interesting and you might be interested in it.

It is difficult being pg with a very young DC and hard having two that are so close together. Now it is OK, but still a TON of work!! GL!!

We used BC for a month after DD was born, then decided that we were ready to have another whenever nature would let us. She started solids right at 6 months, but she still BFs day and night and I am already preggers (she is almost 7 months)...

ETA: I never got AF back.
