So, on Sunday my 2 1/2 year old son fell and hit his mouth pretty hard on our hardwood floors, I checked his mouth for blood and/or broken teeth and he had neither but was complaining about his mouth hurting for a long time. He ended up taking a nap and after the nap I looked in his mouth again because he was still complaining and realized that he had jammed his 2 front teeth and they're bent inward now and his gums were red and purple in front.
I was SOOOO upset, he has teeth issues already and this was just the icing on the cake. (His tooth issues are a LONG story but our medical insurance denied paying to help have them taken care of) I seriously just lost it when talking to my husband, I was a MESS. It has to have been the hormones because man I mean I really got upset and while it is upsetting to have your child hurt, I feel like it was a total overreaction.
Monday, we took him to the dentist and he is going to have to have his front 4 teeth pulled out
: So, this is happening next week and he'll be under IV sedation. I'm just not really handling it well and just want it to all be over with.
Anyway, I really posted this because I've not had a break down like that in YEARS and I'm just amazed at how much the hormones while pregnant can really escalate things. /sigh
