I guess this has been asked loads of times before but I can't find anything when I search :

I want to make a doll each for my two littlies - my boys are nearly 18m and nearly 4yrs

I was thinking of ordering from dancing rain dolls but can't decide which kit would be best

help please! :

well, i've ordered 3 of the kits.....

for my 4 yo i got the friendship doll

my 3 yo i got the my baby doll

my 6 yo i got the button baby b/c she wanted a baby to mother

i would go friendship and my baby if i were you....but you could just go friendship and get enough material for two. i just finished my friendship doll and she was easy to make. hth

Definately go with Dancing Rain. I love the 'my baby' that I just made for my 2 year old. And I just ordered the 14 inch Friendship doll to make for my 3 year old nephew. Or you could compromise and buy the 12 inch friendship doll kit and some extra material, batting and hair to make another. I think boys might get more use out of the friendship doll... plus they end up babying their 'friend' anyhow.

Thanks

I decided to go with the 14" friendship doll for my 3yo - have ordered it now and fingers crossed it arrives in time for xmas - otherwise it will be for his birthday in March

I gave in to my longstanding love of Joys heavy baby for my littlest. I don't know if its the best baby for an 18m old but I have wanted one for a long time LOL but ohmygoodness - the cost of shipping to England was the same as the price of the kit!!! : I just hope it lives up to expectations (good job dancing rains shipping was cheaper, maybe I should have just bought the heavy baby pattern and got supplies from dancing rain ) Never mind LOL

I think Joy's Heavy Babies are adorable too....my girls didn't like the idea of having a baby with no legs though. I know you'll be happy with DRD...and let me know what you think of the Heavy Baby as well.

Happy Dollmaking!!!!
