I had the most pleasant experience last weekend...
Me, DH, and the girls were at a mall and Willa got hungry. We were passing the food court, so we grabbed a table and I started nursing her. I noticed that not far away was a family restroom and I wondered if I'd get any crap for not going there to nurse instead.
A man walked by and said "Good for you!" and went on to say that he knew ppl can get all uptight about it but he was totally supportive - and not in a gross, weird way either, he was just genuinely being nice and supportive.
As a timid-at-time NIPer, it was much needed encouragement! Bet he didn't know he was such a lactivist!

for you &
it is a great reminder for me to speak up to other moms as well. this being our 5th child i guess i take bfding in public in stride. i started out totally wanting to hide but knowing i wasn't doing anything wrong and wasn't bearing all for everyone to see as well. so it just came easier and you know, thinking back a compliment from someone else would've been very encouraging to me then. i have gotten a few comments that were compliments lately and they have made me feel just as good now
