need crochet basics help for doll hair

Thread Starter
I have my Dancing Rain doll kit and am so excited to get started on it, but I am worried about the hair. I have never crocheted. I don't know anyone who can teach me IRL. Is there a website with videos of how to crochet (like knittinghelp.com)?

Thanks,
Monica

I just came across this tutorial, and thought of you.

I googled "crochet hat" and then watched a bunch of you tube videos to learn. My cap wasn't perfect, but it worked since I was making a doll with long hair. I'm a visual learning, so instructions don't help me if I can't "see" it being done. I now love You Tube!!

I You Tubed it too... and seriously it felt like a tone of slip knots... and it was a knoted mess... but it didn't matter because you can't see it.
My last two dolls went a lot more smoothly.
