Did Bringing home baby get an LC??!! update

Watched it yesterday and they had an LC show up but it was a different flavour this time. they showcased her, had a little spiel about engorgement and how to treat it. It didn't *sound* like the couple had hired her, but were happy to have her. the hospital were giving her such CRAPPY advice (glucose water for example) that I wanted to throw something at the TV. but the LC was great and wondering if anyone knew if they were trying to improve this huge problem on their show?

I think they TOTALLY did. I noticed the show moved to NYC instead and since they move they implemented this change. WHA HOO!! this LC diagnosed a tongue tie, which none of the previous LC's had diagnosed! I am so thrilled! all of our writing must have done SOMETHING!!!

I hope they do provide some support. That's mom's main job when she gets home, and instead she has to run around worrying about cameras in her face during the first 36 hours they're home. Being on the show might actually cause the Mom to be less successful, just because of the extra stress. They need to send these mothers home with a postpartum doula, and an LC, and access to any other support services because it is really frustrating to watch the families who don't have any live in help, much less an LC.

maybe two ears ago a friend of mine mentioned one of her friends was going to work on the show. it was a husband/wife duo. the husband produced or filmed and the wife helped and was a LC. i wonder if it was her.

I can only imagine how many letters and phone calls they have gotten complaining about the poor portrayal of breastfeeding on their show. Hopefully the lactivism is finally squeaking the wheels over there!
