Interesting....

I was talking to my sister the other day, and happened to mention to her that I thought it was kind of cool that this baby will be my fourth child, because I am my parent's fourth child.

Then my sister pointed out that both my mother and father are also the fourth child in their respective families! Purty cool, huh?

Not sure it means anything, other than I have basic counting skills, LOL!

This baby is my husband's first biological child (he thinks of my first 2 as his as well) and so far, there are no plans for anymore kids. He is an only child, and his mother is an only child.

Sooo I am having the only child of an only child of an only child

That's cool!

Cool! Almost everyone in my family has 4 kids. At least. The ones who don't have like 7.

I was the 1st of 4 for my mom, only for my dad.

Hmmm- I was the first of two. DH was the third of three and I just had the sixth of six, and three times two is six. And three times three (him) take away two times one (me) is seven. ohh. no way, I don't want another, it's not in the plan. especially 5 days after giving birth. Wait- I took me away. So what does that mean? If I add us up it would be 11 or something. Which is fine, because 6 (the kids I have now) plus 5 (the kids I had last week) is 11, so we're OK.

What kind of prank is this?

LOL- Anyhow your 4's thing is way more interesting than my BS

I think for fairy tale purposes she'd* have to be the seventh son of a seventh son, but the fourth daughter of a fourth daughter of a fourth daughter is pretty cool too. It would be neat it she had four kids. Then it would be like four to the fourth power and the superhero powers would emerge.

*I just realized I was referring to your baby as a girl. Not sure why.

NOT. AT. ALL!! Your math skillz are quite dizzying, though!

MamaJen, a girl would be fine by me! DD really is getting quite full of herself--she needs some competition, LOL!

Playing with the numbers again....this baby really needs to come tomorrow. I was born on June 16th, and tomorrow is Dec. 16, so the symmetry would be good.

And ds1 and dd were both born on days of the month ending in 8 (28th and 18th respectively) but ds2 messed up that pattern by being born on the 6th, so a dec 16th birthday would fix that. And 16 is divisible by 8.....and if you take tomorrow's date (12/16/07) and add up all the digits, until you are left with a one-digit number.....that number is 8!

Numbers fascinate me! Plus, I really really wanna get this show on the road! :

Have you read "The Life You Were Born to Live?" by Dan Millman

If your baby is born on 12-16-2007 it will be a 19/10 and their life path would be creativity and confidence.

I don't know how it can be true- I just don't understand how or why it can be possible to extract someone's personality from their birthday. I also wonder if people who go for elective Csections are ruining the likeliness that their kids will ever get a good numerology or horoscope reading. But to be honest, everyone I have looked up has been accurate. Reading my own was so creepy & eerie that I thought I would puke. It was like the author "knew" things about my thoughts that no one else could know. Reading my kids' was amusing, their personalities were pegged and so was my husband's. In fact, when we read each others, we had a little AHA moment, like suddenly we could speak each other's language.

If your library has this book, I recommend it. It's thick but you don';t have to read it all, just the intro and your own chapters, plus the laws at the end of the book are good, too. I actually read them aloud to the kids so we could discuss them (My girls dig that sort of thing)

My first two are 1 day, 1 month, and 1 year apart. If I have this baby today, she will be 2 months and 2 days behind dd#2. Come on, baby!

Never heard of that book, Lisa. It sounds sort of interesting, but I don't buy into horoscopes or numerology or such things. I just like to play with numbers. And I'm like you--I can't conceive that something so arbitrary as a birth date could determine a person's character! I just found out that I was induced with cytotec! Do I really wanna think that factor may have changed forever the person I "might" have been?? Seems pointless to me....even if it's true, I am who I am, and that's the reality I have to learn to live with, yk?

And really, what it comes down to for me is that I believe God is in control, plain and simple. Not me, not some random factor that I could accidentally (or even intentionally) change. You know? I guess I'm just more comfortable knowing that it's all ultimately up to Him.

Makes it easier for me to complain about *still* being pregnant, 4 days before my EDD!

Oh, and I just thought of another number....this baby's "official" due date is the 19th. That's what my "official" due date was, and I was induced/born on the 16th....one more reason this baby needs to come tomorrow!
