We dont go.

DS doesnt say the pledge either (which they only do on Fridays, for some reason.)

I wish the schools would include all of the children, but they dont. Having a Christmas program at all is bringing religion into the school. That instantly excludes any attendees of the school that do not celebrate Christmas....jewish kids, JW kids, pagan kids, etc.

If you love our country, great,
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that your children attend a government school. Of course they're going to teach patriotism, they're the government.

I'm not knocking people who choose to use public schools, but they are run by the government.

that sucks. I'm sorry.

I really hate all of the heart-rending songs that come out during the holidays, but I also don't care for the cute ones, the funny ones, or the ones that have been played to death starting on Halloween. I think they should only be allowed to play them for 2 weeks by law.

I think it should be illegal for stores to play loud Christmas music. I want groceries, not Santa Claus is watching you so be good. Sigh.
