You can go to kellymom.com for info. However, nurse often! Keep milk flowing through. Use a warm compress before nursing. Begin nursing on the affected side first. Then go to the other side. Then go back to the affected side.

How do you know that it is a plugged duct?

Is your breast red at all? Is it hot to the touch? Do you feel extremely tired or have flu like symptoms? If you have any of these things then go see your Dr.

If the plugged duct is not better within 48hrs then you will need to see your Dr to assess the situation and decide where to go from there.
