Tell me this is ok...please!

So me and my POAS-aholic self decided that 2 days of getting a BFP wasn't enough and I needed to test again this AM. Well I figured the line should be getting darker but it barely showed up on the test!

And to top it off I had a little bit of brown blood on the TP this morning.

Tell me this is ok! Is it? Do I need to call the doc? I really don't want to because I don't plan on using her this time so I wasn't going to tell her that I am pg. I plan on finding a midwife! If it is a MC there isn't anything she can do anyway, right?

What do I do? I am freaking out here!

I guess I just need some reassurance. I never had this happen with my other 2 pregnancies!

I'm sure its fine. Don't do any more tests! A little bit of brown blood is no problem.

So even though its probably fine - if you're worried you might as well call the doc and see what they say. They might want to do a blood test and make sure your HGC levels are going up.

I know I shouldn't have POAS again. We just tried for this one for so long that I liked making sure it was real. KWIM?

No more POAS for me! I may wait a bit, not much of a choice since it is only 5:30 am here, and see if there is more blood. If there is I guess I will call the doc. I was so trying to avoid that!

I am a total POAS aholic and have been doing the same thing - but if it has only been a couple days since the first BFP chances are your HCG levels haven't gone up yet - which is normal. Did you use the exact same brand of test and was the line a lot fainter than the first tests? Because if that's the case I might want to call the doc. If they just weren't the dark you expected i would relax. Mine didn't get darker until at least a week after the first BFP. HTH

I used the same type of test, a $ store one. It is a bit lighter but they were all pretty light. I got the 1st BFP on Wed afternoon.

Ugh! I don't know what to do! I just don't want to deal with the doc office because they are going to want me to set up appointments with them and I really don't plan on using her but midwifes technically aren't legally liscensed in my state and I don't want to have to explain myself to the dang doctor.

I know they say first morning pee is best, but I found second morning pee (after waiting a few hours) was actually better. I think I read that on peeonastick.com or something.

We thought my first test was negative, but an hour later I thought I saw a faint line. Peed on another (same brand) and there was definitely a line. I wouldn't worry about it. BUT if you need to, don't pee for a long time, don't drink a ton, and then try.

Ooh, I'm sorry. This is so stressful, huh?

My line stayed light from 9dpo (when I got my first faint BFP) to 13dpo, when I tested again and got freaked because it was still so light. Then I stopped POAS until 17dpo, when I finally got that nice dark line.

A little bit of brown is totally normal. I had that too.

But, even if an early pregnancy weren't going to stick, there's not really anything the doctor can do. I don't know, I know lots of people like to constantly check their HSG levels and so on, but I feel like for me, that actually adds to the stress. My advice (which obviously, you are free to ignore ) is to just try and relax, and give it a couple days. It is so likely that everything is just fine. And if by some slim chance it's not, your body will figure that out on its own, you know?

Big hugs, and good luck!

TayTaysMom,
I understand the freaking! BUT...
I hear that bits of brown blood are not only ok but common.
As to the faint line, how many days ago did you get your first bfp? If it's been less than a week, that's likely normal too.

all of my dollar tree tests are faint. And i am about 6 weeks or so...

Some of the tests dont have as much dye as others, so they will all be faint. A line is a line. as long as it shows up in the time limit, i would say all is well.

Also, i had brown spotting 2 times when af was due, and thought it was the start of AF, but af never showed and I took a test 5 days later. I talked to my MW and she said that is classic implantation bleeding and itis NOTHING to worry about...

Thanks ladies! I know I shouldn't worry but that is easier said than done!

I am just going to relax and wait it out. I have never had to go and have HCG levels checked before and I see no reason to do it. If something happens it is going to happen no matter what I do at this point! I just got the 1st BFP on Wed but I took 3 tests that day!

There hasn't been anymore spotting and I am feeling really nauseous so I guess that is a good thing! LOL

Nausea is a good thing! And my word, girl! If you only tested pos for the first time 2 days ago, of course it'll be faint. It will be several more days too.
Sounds like everything's fine.

Btw, I freaked yesterday and busted out some chamomile tea (it's supposed to be relaxing.) The stuff helps.

LOL I know! I am a bit anxious with this pg. My 1st 2 weren't planned and this one took me 10 months to conceive so I think I am freaking myself out!

I am normally the one trying to calm a person like me down!
