I think I'm out.... - Page 2

Crashing your DDC for a minute:

It's very normal to have uterine twinges and cramping. Your uterus is already beginning to stretch to accomodate that tiny little growing person. Especially for a first pregnancy, you can feel it when your uterus stretches and sometimes it can become very sharp if a round ligament is being bugged by the stretching and growing weight of the uterus.

Keep hope alive!

thank you ladies for all of your support.

This is pregnancy #2, and I didn't have anything like this with DD...no spotting/bleeding, and definitely not the sharp pains.

...I haven't had any more bleeding or sharp pains, and I'm going to make an ultrasound appointment first thing this morning...

hopefully I'll get an appointment soon, and we'll know one way or the other,

Just got back from the ultrasound, and they found a heartbeat!

...couldn't be happier.

just wondering if this incident means that I'm more likely to miscarry, and/or that there is something "wrong" with baby?

thank you all for your continued support

I dont think it does. I think you and your baby are going to be fine. Like I said previously, it sounds exactly like what happened to me, and now I have an amazing 21 month old.

That's so great!

Bleeding early is common. It is sometimes caused by leftover lining that didn't get used during implantation.

Glad you got to see the heartbeat!

Be happy and try not to think about it anymore (easier said than done, I *know*)
