one placenta down the drain...

My placenta didn't get put into the freezer and we didn't start the encapsulation process in time. There will be no hormonal benefit at this point. I'm so sad, disappointed...and scared. This was my big safety net. I'm feeling well...but, I always do until the bottom drops out around 2-3 weeks.:

I'm trying to stay positive. We may still do it anyway...just in case.

Sorry to hear it... so frustrating when you have a plan and it gets derailed. Hope you are feeling well.

Hugs to you. Hoping your journey with this little one can go smoothly without the placenta if at all possible.

When exactly was the baby born? I'd say give it a shot-- wash it really well, and by the time it has been steamed and then dried to a crisp, I can't imagine there would be any organisms left on it that would be harmful. I don't know how many of the beneficial elements go away with time, but like I said, it may be worth a try.

We decided to go ahead with it. My sweet dh spent the entire day on the process. He is clearly in the running for life-partner-of-the-universe...

This gave me a little chuckle and a reality check. Aren't derailed plans the hallmark of parenthood?
