which name do you like better?

I have a weird feeling this baby is a girl. We have a boy named picked out (well, I have a boy name picked out ) but I'm throwing around all kinds of different girl names. So of these two.... tell me which one of the two you like better:

Lia Lynn
Erin Emily

Is the alliteration (sp?) too weird? I guess I could do Lia Emily, but Erin Lynn doesn't roll off the tounge well...

Anyway, just thinking aloud ....thank you!!!!!!

AWESOME....because that's MY name

Ok maybe it's a little conceited to use both of my names...

But really, my husband and I like the idea of using either our first or middle name for this baby....if it's a boy the middle name will be his middle name....so we're going to use my first or middle name as the baby's middle name if it's a girl

thank you for the compliment, I love my name too

IMO, go with your favorite combo. How often do you really use the middle name anyhow? Our kids generally don't even know what their middle name is until kindergarten! And, they never, ever use them. So, unless you're planning on frequently calling your child by their first+middle name often or are going to use their middle name as their first name, go with the combo you like the best. I like Lia Lynn the best and yes, the alliteration is a bit comic bookish (my kids were just asking today why superheroes always have names that start with the same letter - Peter Parker, Lois Lane, etc), but does it matter?

you are totally right, I know. In fact a friend of mine had a baby and named her Jada Lea...and when I first heard it I was like, "wow, that is sing-songy!" but now it's just totally normal to hear. So whatever it is...it will sound right when it's really "the name"

But I just HAVE to indulge my closet-type-A personality and ask opinions

When I have been picking names for my children I have always found it usefull to find out what the names mean. Here is what I could find for the names you picked. The first two seem to have no meanings of there own i tryed a few diferent sites.

Lia Meaning:Uncertain, possibly from Rosalia
Lynn Meaning:N/A
Erin Meaning:From Ireland
Emily Meaning:Rival; emulating

I hope this helps

I like Lia. But not a fan of the alliteration. Your backup suggestion, Lia Emily, I prefer.

Not in your DD (sorry!!) but this caught my eye, because I have a cousin who is Aron (pronounced like Erin) Lynn. She even goes by both names, not just Aron. I think its sounds lovely together.
