I am soooooooooooo excited
I put parchment paper on the cookie sheet to prevent sticking, you can reuse it over and over for your batches.

I made salt dough ornaments last year and they were all moldy this year. I stored them out in the shed. Do you think that maybe I didn't bake them long enough?

I made the cinnamon dough ornaments last week. I just used 1 cup of applesauce and 1 cup of cinnamon. No glue.

My blog post about the ornaments.

Does anyone know if Tempera paint would work well on salt dough ornaments? I just made some with my son and my daycare boy (both one and half years old) and want to paint them with the boys tomorrow. I have a bunch of big old bottles of Tempura. They all say they are non-toxic, but I want to make sure they would work on the salt dough. I also need to go buy a bottle of yellow, but I think I can get one super cheap. This was such a cheap, fun project for the kids!
