Why AM I surprised? Of course it's up. It's always up. But it is still surprising and upsetting every year. 31.1%! ARGH!

Not good

I am glad to say that that my 2006 baby didn't contribute to that percentage

I wasn't surprised at all. GA is 31.3% now-that's where I live. I have very little doubt that we'll eventually reach Brazil levels. Not enough women care or even realize what the problems are with standard obstetric care.

That just makes me sick! My birth certainly did NOT contribute to that (although all the OBs all said it would and I had no choice, ha showed them and went with a midwife!) but my SIL's did...all because she didn't want to birth.
