a good reason to go to cloth dipes...

Yesterday my little munchkin pooped in her disposable diaper. Our plan is to finish up these newborn ones and then switching to cloth. So I took her dipe off and threw it out, and started putting a new diaper on, which she immediately pooped in AND she stuck her foot right in it. I fastened that diaper so she could finish, then took that one off and put yet another diaper on, but before I could get it all the way on, out comes a HUGE amount of pee- on her onesie, socks, hat, sleeper, diaper, blanket, and changing table cover!

No wonder I have so much laundry. :

I know! At that point you're washing the pee off everything anyway, what's a few diapers in the grand scheme of things. Then you wouldn't feel it was completely wasted being worn 1 minute too, just wash and use again. Also with a good diaper cover the poo doesn't leak on everything and make you wash extra outifts as well.

I do a lot less "clothes" laundry this time since we are using cloth. We used disposable diapers when Del was a newborn and she pretty much had a blowout with every poop. I think we have had maybe two or three poop leaks all together this time!

Thats happened to me on like 5 occasions! Except we're in cloth now so I had to keep pulling out dipes that I had JUST folded! Arrgghhh!

yah.. using ones I've JUST dried, stuffed and lovingly put away in the few quiet moments I have... that is just :

This happens to us a LOT. Before she was born, we were saying "oh, cool, a girl, no peepee fountains with every diaper change!" Yeahhhhhhh, she showed us. She's worse than ds was! I've learned to open the diaper, wipe her off, then sit there for a minute with the used diaper under her bum and wait to see if she's really done.
