I have a hole in my nipple (x-posted)

Now what? Baby just fell asleep and when I went to put the breast away I saw what looks sorta like a small crevice or crater in the nipple. No bleeding.

I have it out right now, repeatedly letting breast milk dry on the area.

I cannot tell you the excruciating pain there has been in this nipple. Ugh...

Could it just be an enlarged pore? I had this with Isaac...but it was just a pore that had gotten clogged and then a chunk of *something* gooey (I have no idea what) came out and left a little hole. Not a crater, though. How big is it? Is that where it hurts?

No advice, just lots of . That sounds pretty terrible.

It's not huge (think of photos of the moon with crater holes).

The pain is generally over the entire nipple I believe. SO painful. I am going to either go the the LLL meeting again Tuesday or call them for a home visit.

I'm glad you'll have it checked asap. The pain isn't normal, but hopefully it's something easy to take care of. (((hugs)))
