I don't know if I ever officially joined my DDC, but I thought I would announce the arrival of my first baby, Noah Ryder, born on his due date 12/5!

My water broke shortly after midnight during a WI snowstorm, and after a very quick and intense labor, he was born in the bathtub in the Birthing Center where I am an RN at 3:13 am, after just 13 minutes of pushing. We don't officially do waterbirths there...oops

That's all for now!

Edit:
We had a newborn photo shoot yesterday with an amazing lady (a gift from my coworkers!). She did a quick edit on a couple photos and they are on her blog here:

We live in Verona, just outside of Madison. I wiped out in the driveway trying to get into the car on the way to the hospital. What could I do but sit in the snow and laugh?...and then ride to the hospital in cold wet pants
Got to love WI weather!

Congratulations from another Wisconsin mama! I'm glad you were able to get through the storm and have such a lovely birth!

ps. We're in Madison, and I think Katfka is as well. Perhaps we should have a get-together when all the little ones are born and we've all recovered.
