Tubal ligation

Anyone get their tubes tied?


I did.....4 in 4-5 years will do it for me. Though I can say I am worried I will regret it later-like 5-10 years. I am only 27.

Anyone else?

Hubby is getting HIS tubes done

He's doing it this Thursday and I was pushing it.. I know it's for the best because i just can't do another pregnancy (terrible for my family) but now I am SO SAD!! Something is just so final, you know?

I DO know, Gina. It feels right for us health wise and financially but not for my heart.

mama's. Dh talked about being done but doesn't want to commit and take that step and I'm glad about it. I would feel the same as the two of you.

Dh wants to get his done soon... I know that neither I nor our family could withstand another pregnancy, but I'm amazed at how conflicted I feel about it.

Dh is going to visit The Bad Man ( as his friends call the urologist/vasectomy doc) here in a couple months. After the trauma of this last delivery plus how bad the first one was, we've both agreed that we just can't go through that again.

Definitely give it a few months. You never know. After 4 kids, I know I must... but oy, it's SO sad!

Popping over here from December...

I had my tubes tied AND reversed 10 years later....be very very sure before you do it. And then think about it some more. After 3 kids I never thought I would want to try again, and here I am with 2 more babies.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to be in that situation. Neither DH nor I are willing to take that step at this point. I really don't know if I want more kids or not. DH does. Even if I didn't, I don't know that I could have either me or my DH make that choice to have surgery. It would make me sad to I think. I don't know that we'll ever be THAT SURE until we're much older. So for now, it's not something up for discussion to do.

Yeah it DOES make me sad. I dont think DH wants anymore children at all but I keeo thinking about what if we become more financially stable, which I believe is WHY dh doesnt want anymore,...I think I could have a VBAC someday you know? That makes me sad-ok so there it is-the thought of no more children and then the thought of never having experienced childbirth the way I knew I wanted since after DD#1 was born. Its already done though.....
