Help me.
23 month old - everything that comes out of his mouth is an extremely loud "DON'TTTTT WANT IT!!!!!".
He just yells at me all the live long day. I don't know why - he has a normal speaking voice and we do have lovely conversations but a lot of the time it's either incredibly loud helicopter and fire truck siren noises or else he's screaming at me that he doesn't want to do what I have asked him.
I offer him a choice when appropriate but will direct non-negotiable activities (diaper changes, brushing teeth, nap time etc.).
The "Don't Want Its" range from everything - play through eating through getting ready to go out.
We practice logical consequencing but I am having a hard time figuring out what the logical consequence of being too loud is. And maybe I shouldn't be controlling his loudness but just learning to deal.
Sounds totally like normal toddler behaviour yes? I can't be the only one with a pounding headache, tired of the freak fits.
