People not like helping newbies here?

I've had no responses to my 3 posts for help Although they were only an hour or so ago, there have been several views...

Am I being impatient or has anyone else had this problem?
I think it could just take awhile. Usually there will be a lot of views, but not necessarily many responses as many who read the post don't necessarily have anything to contribute. Just try bumping your post up if it starts to drop down the list a little. That way more people might see it when they view news posts.

Yeah, that's probably it. I'm just impatient b/c I don't like seeing my DD suffer

i try not to look at the number of views and compare it to the number of posts

also bear in mind its the middle of the night (at least where i'm at) i wouldn't normally be on this time of night....

bump it up in the am if need be

Welcome to MDC! I'm so sorry you felt like no one was replying to you! I see looking now that you have gotten some replies.

Unfortunately there just aren't that many members on so early in the morning. Sometimes folks look at a thread but don't have anything they feel they can contribute, so you will always have more views than replies.

Welcome again!

Oops...Didn't take into account the time zones. I was just being overly sensitive as I am looking for ways to help her other than what my Dr.'s seem to be doing which is treating the symptom but not the actual problem.

How fast things move varies greatly. I'll go take a look at your threads.

Welcome!

Replies can be unpredictable. I know how you're feeling-- I've posted some things that got no responses and others that have gotten several. It all depends when you post, where, who read, what you ask, etc. etc. etc.

I'll go check out your recent posts, though, and see if I have anything to add. And welcome to MDC

The boards move fast in many instances. Numerous views but no replies can often reflect that the people who have read your post don't know the answer, didn't have anything intelligent to add (although that's never stopped me ) or perhaps the reader might be nursing a newborn and don't have free hands at the moment....

Welcome to MDC :

You can always PM a moderator (anyone whose username is purple) if you need any assistance finding your way around or if you have an urgent question, etc. etc. We can often point people in the right direction to Mothering articles, Tribes, older threads, information, etc

Or a Granola Ambassador (anyone whose name is in orange) can also help, too!!! Granola Ambassadors rock

Thanks everybody for your responses. I feel much more loved now. Ha, ha

Yay! We're all about the love

Sorry about the lack of response to your post. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time, but very few post, if any, get no response at all.

Welcome to MDC!

A lot of times I'll look but if I don't have an answer, I won't post. No good having 20 posts if they all say "gee, I don't know?"

sorry you weren't feeling the love. So have you gotten the help you were looking for?

Welcome to MDC Mama... I hope you got the help you needed.

Guests (ie. people with no posting ability) can still read certain forums, but can't replay. That could explain the view count.
