What non-toxic, effective adhesive do you use for wooden toys?

I am trying to make some wooden trains, and my neighbour, who is a woodworker is helping me, He mentioned that the glues he uses are good enough that they won't come undone, but I just want to make sure that what I use is as non-toxic as possible.
What glues do you or don't you recommend?

My dh makes wooden toys - I know he uses non-toxic glue, but I don't know what brand. I'll ask him tonight for you when he gets home.

I was just going to ask the same question for some doll house furniture my dh is making. I would love to find a safe glue for him to use that will work well.

Ok, dh said he uses "Tight Bond" brand glue. He says there are several types of it, and you can just read the back, where it will clearly say it's non-toxic; he said that one of the kinds even says it's safe for contact with food. Hope that helps!

When my hd makes toys he uses Gorilla Glue. I think its non-toxic once dry and the idea is that you use a small enough amount of it that it doesn't show anyway. I've never had anything made with Gorilla glue come apart. That stuff is like cement.
