What time is bedtime?

Hazel and Lucy typically go down some time between 9 and 10:30.

We are up for the day between 7 and 8:30.

What about everyone else?

ETA: Obviously they do not sleep that entire time. Just didn't want anyone hating me.

9:30ish is when he's usually done for the day. We sleep till 9. DH gets up with DD at 8ish. I love him .

Mairaed tends to go to sleep about 8:00 and is back up about 11:30 to eat, then 3:00 to eat again, then 8:00. It is heavenly... I feel so lucky that she sleeps so well. Except that first night home from the hospital when she did not sleep more than 10 minutes at a time...

ETA: My DH is going to get pasted soon if he does not get into the routine of changing DD and THEN feeding her. She screams like a banshee when we change her and he will feed her at the 11:30 feeding and then hand her off to me and say "I think she pooped"

I'm in sleep deprivation hell right now. We begin a nighttime ritual of bath, diaper, sleeper change and awake time between 7 and 9pm, but none of it matters! He stays up eating and fussing until 12am every night. Sometimes 1am!

Then he wakes every 1-3 hours and he "gets up" at about 7 or 7:30am where he is so noisy and active and sometimes so hungry I just can't get ANY more sleep even if it's the weekend. During the week I don't have a choice.

I was thinking maybe if I stopped the usual routine and instead just changed him and took him straight to bed (he acts really sleepy the whole time like any moment might be THE moment he passes out...and he DOES pass out a few times from 9-12) ... maybe he will just give up early and catch a few winks with me while he nurses in bed.

Not sure! Not sure if I can handle 3 MORE hours of side lying nursing a night though. It's so uncomfortable.

cONRAD FINALLY SUCCUMBS ABOUT 10-10:30. Whoops, NAK, sorry. He is up at 6 or 7. Sometimes he will go down again for a chunk of time after that, but usually that marks the start of his dayti,me eating schefdule (every 1.5 - 2 hours).

At night, Rylan is usually down by 10-11. Ansel gets up around 7:30-8 so I'm up then. If Ansel is quiet, which is truly hit or miss, Rylan will usually eat and go right back down till around 10.

Silas is usually asleep by 9:30 or 10, but last night made it to bed by 8:30. Of course, no matter when he goes down, he's up for a nursing 2 hours later.

And tonight it's 10:30 and he's still up.

His bedtime routine totally depends on Miriam's - and today she went to bed late, so I think he's a bit in sync with her.

Miriam gets up at 7 am never fail (sometimes earlier) and so Silas gets up then too, although if he is sleeping, I'll usually leave him in the bed until he wakes up (usually 1/2 an hour).

Well, the other kiddos go down about 7, so once I am done with them I change Sam into night clothes and have him cuddle with me on the Boppy as DH and I relax and watch some TV :. He usually wakes about 10 to nurse, then again about 1 or 2, and then about 5 ish. We are up for the day at 6.

this was last night...

took him to bed after dipe and sleeper at 9 ish.. nursed, put down in raised bassinette at ten (on belly)ack, slept until 12:30 woke ate kept him vertical until one, was fussy gassy awake.. tried to 1/2 lay down with him.. no dice.. he dozed on me from about 2 to 3:30 then woke fussy gassy crying and sorta nursed on off and was walked, patted and rocked until he finally dozed again at 6:30.. dh gets up at six and evan at 7 so no sleep for me... it is 8:40 and he has been up since 7:30 and is currntly hiccupping and crying at the same time... don't you all just want to be me?? ohh he just pooped, maybe that will help...

My other kiddos are in bed by 8pm-8:30 at the latest and they get up around 7:30 or so. Cora goes to sleep when I do really-well she'll be sleeping in her seat or in the sling and then I feed and change her and then we go to bed and snuggle and "talk" usually no later than 10:30 or 11. She wakes around 4am and the again when we get up for the day around 8am.

wren's usually in bed between 10 & 11 -- i nurse her (and myself!) to sleep, so she's often not asleep until 45 minutes later. she generally gets up at 3:30 to nurse, so i get a nice 4-5hr chunk of sleep. then she goes back to sleep, and wakes up to nurse a couple more times (like at 5 or 6, then 7 or 8) and is usually up for the day by 10.

What is this bedtime you are all talking about!?! This child has no rhyme or reason to him. Each day is so different and last night he was up most of the night. I thought I might go nuts. Nothing really seems to soothe him, except nursing. Kind of ironic seeing all the hysterical crying he did the first 2.5 weeks of trying to nurse. If he is finally asleep in my arms he wakes the minute I lay him down anywhere. He seems to have to be on me to sleep at all.

So I tried the going to bed earlier thing and he nursed at 10pm and passed out, sleeping for 3.5 hours instead of passing out at midnight! WHOOOO HAHHZOOOO!!

Instead of staying upright with lights on until he passes out, we just went to bed, nursing side-lying. Hope it works tonight!
