our baby girl, pearl, arrived this morning at 4:29 am, 8lb 7oz, 20 inches. My water broke about 24 hours before that, and labor didn't start until about 8 - 9 pm that night.
it wasn't long before things were really kicking off, and i felt the urge to push about 2 am. although it was the one of the most intense experiences of my life, and there were moments i was doubting myself, i wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. my first birth was a c/s due to "failure to descend," so my HBAC is truly a dream come true!
feeling my baby emerge from my body and having her on me the moment after she was born was unbelievable.
i just wanted to say thanks for all the great sharing and info that's happened in this DDC - it's been (and will continue to be!) such a wonderful resource.
