DD is 41w1d, finally in early labor. Been having contractions 5-7 minutes apart since about 5 o'clock. It's getting more intense. Cannot wait to see the little guy!

Long labors can be terribly discouraging. Hope things are picking up and baby will be here soon.

Update

Not much happening...she is seeing bloody show and is very happy about that...she keeps saying, "I am trying so hard to do this the right way." Meaning, using a MW vs OB, since she went the hospital route last time. She is scared that after making her decision that she will end up in a hospital anyway.

Her edd was Dec 3, but the mw moved it to Dec 8 and I think they told her that they could keep her up until Dec 22, pushing it, to Dec 24. I think that is a lot of pressure for her.

BTW- her first baby came at 39 weeks. She had arom, but thinks she would have had him anyway because at 38 weeks she was already 3cm. Now that I think of it, she was having contractions all the time with him too. When she showed up at the hospital, they did not turn her away. It was her decision, of course, but who really can say no to being asked if you want to have your baby today?

After laboring from 5pm to 6am the other night, she had not progressed at all, was still at 1.5cm, which she has been at since 39 weeks.

I know she is tired and worn out just from thinking about this whole thing. She is looking for a miracle at this point!

Hope it picks up for her soon. Have her walk walk walk, I swear by that.
