Just got back from the chiro. My ~7yo has my icky hip. I don't know if she was just trying to be like me and waddle or if it is actually messed up.

My chiro didn't do as much today I think because my dh and all three kids were in the room being VERY distracting. So I still hurt as much as before I went.

But I did gain about 4 lbs. this week! I don't know how. I think it's just water from my swelling, because I have been eating pretty well and eating tons of fruit as probably at least half my diet.

I do NOT want to check my weight anymore. I now weigh more than with any of my other pregnancies. How depressing.

Dh is hoping that baby comes tonight so he doesn't have to venture out at the crack of dawn to go to work tomorrow and brave the ice storm. :

And my in-laws called yesterday about my SIL and spent at least half an hour on the phone trying to convince dh that I should beg to be induced so that they can schedule a day off work or something. I mean, a full fledged argument. Dh stood his ground "If it comes between convenience and the baby's health, I will ALWAYS pick the baby's health". They do not understand that. Where's the grumpy face?

I'm ready for her to come! My next chiro is on the 18th-my u/s due date. So maybe she'll come after I get a nice adjustment.

Have y'all seen this? A little late in the game, but I just set one up to see what people think. Guess I should've done this awhile back!

It sounds silly but why am I just so tired of contractions that don't hurt? I never thought I'd say I'm ready for labor to begin, but I really am!

mw is coming tonight, but I doubt anything will be different than any other time. I'm 39w4d.

Still here. It's : where we live and my coat doesn't close over my gigantic belly. brrrrrr.

I'm also ready for some ctx that actually hurt.

38 + 3... my second ever post to the daily check in. I love reading everything from you ladies, makes me feel not alone!

Still not feeling any practice or real contractions, but baby is riding so low i also feel like my crotch is going to split in half.

Something else that has started: skin breaking out, extra crabby, just want to sleep, whining, feeling sorry for myself. Then it dawned on me, holy crap, i remember this, this feels like PMS!

Are PMS symptoms common leading up to the due date?

I can't imagine another situation where I'd say something like this, but I'll be thinking about your crotches and hoping they feel better soon.

My midwife called this afternoon to check on me. She's going out of town overnight Thursday night (Thursday and Friday are my EDD's). : It'll be fine though b/c she has a partner midwife and they have an apprentice and I'd be fine to be attended by just them.

She thinks it'll happen this weekend. I though today, but apparently I'm wrong.

OOOooo, can our club have bumper stickers??

PROUD MEMBER OF THE BROKEN CROTCH CLUB.

That'd be awesome.

My poor dh keeps asking me to hurry up & go into labor, too because he's totally completely fed up with his job & wants to start his vacation time so he can start seriously looking for a new job. So he gets up & goes to a job he hates everyday just because he IS the provider & his woman's In The Family Way. My poor husbundy. :

AND, I am at my highest weight I have ever been in my entire life at this moment as well. I'm officially 2 pounds more than I was at my last birth.

I'm not quite ready for Baby to come yet.... I have to clean a few more things!!

We need t-shirts, dangit!!!

I'm ready. But right now I am making:

3 batches of brioche (2 for cinnamon rolls)
4 loaves wheat bread
6 baguettes
4 pizza crusts
3 batches matzoh ball soup

I am waiting for them to rise so I can get done and freeze most of it! Come on, yeast!!!

I guess you can say I'm nesting a bit. I noticed when I was scrubbing my toilet at 1am before I went to sleep.

Well today isn't over yet....

I had my mw visit today, did my self gbs test and then her palpatations she thinks baby is going to be a good 9lber. DH is a bit scared, why don't ask me, he's not pushing this baby out. But I figured as much I had a 8.15 and 9.3 so having a small baby would be weird, I'd be scared I'd break him anyways!!

Oh, Jen! Thanks for thinking about my crotch! : I hope your crotch is doing well this evening.

Kitywitty, do you have like 8 ovens?? I can never bake so much at once because I can only fit so much in my oven in one day!

I baked 4 loaves of sprouted wheat bread yesterday but my stupid dough never rose! I hate that. So now I have 4 sprouted wheat bricks.

Well this may be it! I've been having contractions since late this morning. They started to get more regular about 2:30 this afternoon, but still aren't completely regular. About 4.5 minutes apart now lasting 30-60 seconds. I've asked the midwife to go ahead and come out because both of them are an hour away. Maybe it will still be a while, but I'll feel more comfortable with having someone here. Hubby is working on getting our daughter towards bed. I'm going to try to go rest for a little while. We'll see what happens.

Chann96 - Exciting! Good luck mama!!!

Will you all think nice thoughts about my crotch too? : Maybe we should all change our siggies to include "BCC"

Ah, yes, old chap. My crotch is doing splendidly this evening. We took a stroll 'round the block just now. Absolutely spiffing. P'raps now it's time for a spot of tea.

No, just one oven. I stagger it a bit. And I made 8 pizza crusts. My bad. But I froze them to bake one at a time. I baked 3 baguettes at a time, and I'm about to put in my wheat bread but it's not rising enough. Stinkin bread. My brioche has another 3 hours tonight to be worked on, then 6+ hours in the fridge and then I finish it tomorrow. That will take about 4 hours.

chann96, good luck!!! Keep us updated!

I'm on the late side checking in again today. 38w6d. Baby is still internal.

Tomorrow is the day....right?

Today the mw came, and I overcame my tendency to panic in the face of confrontation and told her about some of the things that are bothering me. She's been going through some upheaval in her personal life, and while I sympathize and care deeply for her, it has affected her ability to care for me, and that has left me feeling somewhat discouraged and unsupported here lately. I finally realized that I had to face it head on and tell her my fears--that she just didn't seem to be "here" for me the way I need her, and that makes me scared that she won't be "here" for me during the birth, either.

Getting it off my chest made me feel better. I didn't panic or avoid, but I definitely cried. So the rest of the day, I felt emotionally drained. But better. I think I can make it through the part to come now.

Baby is fine, I'm fine...I'm ready, and tomorrow would be fine and dandy with me!

I've missed hanging out with you guys the last few days, but I'm glad my mom is keeping me focused on my to-do list, because I will be glad later that I got so much out of the way. She is really helping me out, and she wants to do things for me, but I have a hard time just sitting on the couch or laying down for a nap if she's working, so I'm trying to keep busy beside her.

I'm a card-carrying member of the Broken Crotch Club too, and I'm sorry to hear that the roster is so large! For me, I'm pretty sure there's no solution but to birth this baby! soon, baby--just as soon as you like! Mama's ready....as ready as I'll ever be, and I promise you will enjoy stretching out your sweet little arms and legs that have gotten sooooo cramped!

Please, baby--don't make me go to church tomorrow night and keep my polite face on as I field all the stoooopid questions and comments! I might slip up and say something not-so-sweet, and it could get ugly!

: : : Oh lordy, that's funny stuff.

Go Chann, go! How exciting! :

kittywitty
, do you suppose wheat bread doesn't rise because it wasn't kneaded enough? Or cuz it needed more yeast?
I am impressed with your talents in the kitchen.

starrymama, I am thinking nice thoughts about your crotch. Here are some happy crotch vibes: :

I think I let it sit for too long of a first rise, so the second rise in my bread pans just wasn't going very far. I try to let it go over the top by at least an inch, but it's barely to the top.

But I did just eat an entire thin 14" baguette by myself. :
