... and my insurance is covering it. Wow!

I am just so amazed.

I started today and will be doing (thought I'd share in case anyone else wanted to do them):

1) Extended-hold (10 seconds) kegels 20 times a day,
2) "belly scoops" (where you kegel for 10 seconds AND suck your tummy toward your belly button, making sure to breathe the entire time) 20 times a day,
3) Crunches where I do 2) AND tilt my pelvis under.

All these are while laying on my back.

Okay, and,um, this is just the first series of my exercises! Trust me, they were a LOT more difficult than I thought.

We are doing kegels even though I do not have bladder (etc) issues, because everything is symbiotic and related, so we are actually strengthening the lower abdominals at the same time.

It kinda makes me cry because I have not really "given" myself this attention sicne having my three kids and I was feeling kinda "wring-out". I also was looking 6 months pregnant. the doc said all this was meaning my SPINE was holding up my mama-milk-boobs and my organs, since my abs are doing ZIP!

good for you, mama!

There's nothing like a couple of pregnancies to really mess with a person's whole body. Hooray for spines--but it's sooooooo nice when the other muscle groups do their part, too!

Thank you, poetess. For 12 years (since my first babe) I have needed it, but was too overwhelmed in motherhood and work to be good to myself....
