It's now basically an orangy water and no blood. But oy it stinks!!! Anyone else? There's no pain or fever so I assume it's fine, just normal. I don't remember what it was like with the others.

weird...I was coming to ask a similar question.
here's my thread hijack...
almost 5 weeks pp, and gushing a few times a day - watered down blood some times darker an odd odor. Close to filling a pad with each gush...I've been too busy/lazy/forgetful to call, and I've got an appointment next week anyways.
But urg, I know this is different than ds #1.

I actually went to my midwife to get checked out because my lochia smelled SO horrible.
And then I figured out that it was actually the combination of the blood and the scent on the disposable pads I was using (I had been using tampons for years before that, so I wasn't used to it).
Which is a whoooole different rant, but anyway. Just something weird to consider.

I am using cloth pads, so it's definitely not those!
Also, I had almost NOTHING yesterday and this morning when I went to get out of bed there was a gush that soaked the pad and my underwear. I assumed it was because I'd been laying down. But is your gushing happening no matter what position? Or just when you're standing up?

In a similar situation. I only notice how much I'm bleeding, though, when I use the cream colored or pink pads...nothing shows up on the dark purple.. LOL But I was surprised at how much I saw last night, and it doesn't have that fresh blood smell anymore. It's different, but not concerning. The less active I am, the less I bleed, but once I start carrying the baby around the house or go somewhere with her in the Moby...gushgush. We're three weeks and a day out right now.

MW actually warned me that it would start to stink at 3-4 weeks PP, and said it's normal. She said it is the body ridding the extra white blood cells.
If you have signs of infection though, definitely call!
