Colostrum --- why did I feel so anxious about this the other day?

So I nursed my toddler until August 1, after she turned two years old. But the other day in the shower I thought, hey, let me see if colostrum is there. And I could barely get anything! I mean, maybe one drop?

Suddenly I felt SO anxious. After nursing dd#1 I thought, sure, breastfeeding is no problem with baby #2 ... please tell me my anxiety is silly and I have nothing to worry about! But why is there hardly any colostrum there?

This is the first pregnancy where I have leaked colostrum. I think you will be fine.

I only get, like, tiny little pinpoints of colostrum, and only when I squeeze my nipples. It's nowhere near a drop. It's more like a trace. I think it'll be fine though. I bet the milk will come in like a fire hydrant a few days after the baby is born.

i've nursed 2 kiddos..my son till he was 2 and a few months and my daughter till recently. ive been checking every day and just a few days ago in the bath did i finally get a good amount of colosytrum when i checked. its funny how we worry about such things. your body is doing things exactly how it should. so don't fret!
