Is this normal (pubic pain)

I did not have much groin discomfort with my daughter. This time, however, the ligaments that run from my pubic area down the inside of my thighs are super painful. My pubic bone hurts really badly too but those ligaments (right in the crease where my thigh meets the pubic area) are on fire. It is hard to walk by the end of the day and it kills me to roll over in bed. Is that normal? It seems to start out in the AM at like a 4 on the pain scale and by evening I am hunched over and scooting around the house trying not to use any leg muscles... I do know that the baby is very low but this seems ridiculous - especially if I have another 2-3 weeks of it.

I don't know if that's normal or not... but I could have written your post... I don't remember that type of pain with either of my girls, and I've had a hard time describing it to my midwife...

Anyway... I also hope it doesn't last another two weeks... of course, I'm also hoping pregnancy doesn't last another two weeks...

BTW... my pain seemed to start a few weeks ago (like just before Thanksgiving), when I tried to lift DD#1 with my leg (really dumb, I know ) and I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle then... but it's been quite a while since that, and my entire groin area hurts... not just that leg...

You must have missed the last several hours of posts in our daily updates thread. You are welcome to come join our Broken Crotch Club. You may even get bumper stickers & t'shirts!!

But seriously, I guess it's normal since it seems to be a bit common around mdc..... and YES, it hurts me sooooo bad to roll over & get out of bed. That is my absolutely #1 worst pregnancy related pain. And I didn't have this with my other 3 pregnancies either!

My pain is centered all the way around my birth canal, like my pelvic opening there, and my pubic bone. Plus I get insane shooting pains down my thigh bones that make my legs nearly go out from under me. Oy. There's a lot of pain & pressure down there. You are not alone!

Mine also becomes progressively worse throughout the day until evening, when I start dragging myself around with a pained look on my face, like a banana slug that got run over.

Okay, good to know you are all just as miserable as I am Honestly, I have no other pregnancy related complaints. I feel completely fine other than this - but man it HURTS. I wonder if it is going to make my birth more painful.

crashing from the feb ddc. Yep! Totally normal! I still have two months left and I've been in horrible crotch pain. Babe is just really low and putting pressure down there. Subsequent pregnancies are more apt to do that too.

Yes. It is very normal. Sorry, but it is normal and should be expected.

Add me to the Broken Crotch club. I didn't experience this with my other two pregnancies and it's totally miserable.

Hello fellow broken crotch mamas! I feel your pain, literally. Chiro seems to help, as does homeopathic arnica, but honestly, I think birth is the only cure. Reason #543545 I am getting anxious for this baby to be born.

I feel your pain! Mine comes and goes, but I have that "crease" pain and when I get out of bed it feels like my pubic bone is cracking. I can only assume that this means he's really low, which hopefully can only be beneficial for the big day.

Me too, alas.

I was just going to post something about it and ask "This goes away after the baby comes, right? Right? RIGHT?"

Because if it doesn't, I think I'm buying a wheelchair rightfreakin'now.
