just thought i would pop over from the toddler board to ask a question.....

i'm looking to get a magazine subscription for my niece who is 12, almost 13. can you recommend a magazine for her that won't be too mature or too young for her?

I loved New Moon too.
DS read it and felt it was boy-bashing.
After reading it with those lenses, I kind of agree.
It was a few years ago. So take a look.
I can't think of any other mag that I'd recommend, unless she's Jewish. There are some awesome mags orriented to Jewish teens and pre-teens.

Do you know any of her interests? At that age, it may be easier to find a magazine that fits her interests rather than her age...

Also, try using the search function for magazines in this forum because I know I've seen several threads like this one!

If she likes writing, Stone Soup is a great magazine, it's written and illustrated by young writers and artists.
