Beta #1 - terrified.

Oh man...I am seriously flipping out.

I got a faintfaintfaint BFP this morning on an FRER at 11 days post IUI. Here it is:

Berley see it, but it's there, right? So I called my RE who sent me for a quantitative hCg beta.

Got my results at about 3 pm:

I'm hoping it's really too early. My RE is sending me for a repeat draw on Friday, so I have to go insane wondering until then.

I am so freaking scared. Anyone else with low betas and/or low beta success stories?

Yikes. I honestly don't know what betas should be right now. But it does seem awful early to expect a high number. It also seems like a faintfaintfaint would be expected this early.

WOW! Those FRER are sensitive...more than what they claim...I'll have to remember that.

According to the chart, 7 looks good to me. I just got a faint positive today at 10 DPO and I'll get my beta back in a couple days.

I'm sure you're fine! I'm getting a beta at 12DPO tomorrow and I don't expect it to be very high. Last time mine was 30 at 11DPO I think.

I've done a FRER each of the last 3 mornings and they've gotten darker each day! I hope yours do too!

I assume the FRER is a hpt? If so, don't expect it to be darker tomorrow! I realize it could be, but it's just one day, so don't freak yourself out!

I had better luck with second morning urine. if you get up to pee a million times a night like I have been, it's easier to hold it for a few hrs in the morning.

So - I'm taking your advice and not trying to get freaked out by lines or beta numbers. I'm still getting those twinge-y crampy feelings in the bottom of my pelvis, so I'm taking that to be a positive sign.

Yep, those things are super sensitive! TMI here, but DH and I only DTD once this month, on the 27th. Just 8 days later, on the 5th, I got a line just slightly lighter than yours! Everything's going to be fine!

I think it's a *bit* darker than yesterday's. What do you think?

Yours looks like mine did. I tested 3 times and they were all about the same darkness. I tested at about 8-9dpo (that was the day my period was due). I was shocked to even see a line and the first one was a dollar store one.

I think it takes 48 hours to double or something like that, so it probably wouldn't get THAT much darker!! Goodluck though!

Yes, darker! Let me show you my comparison. The top one is 9DPO, the next is 10DPO...they look just like yours!

It's definitely darker-and any line is a line! My first was barely visible, so I went and bought a digital because no matter how many times my husband saw the two pink lines, he didn't believe it. He wanted to see "pregnant".

At the risk of sounding like the Bartles & James guys...thanks so much for your support.

I have a call in to my RE to ask about the darker FRER. We're in the midst of a huge snowstorm, so who knows if/when she'll return my call.

Dropping in from another DDC to tell you that my first beta, 12dpiui, was ELEVEN. Freaking 11. And I had had numerous +'s on every test imaginable.

14dpiui it was 23. I was beside myself and just about gave up, really. I kept going to all these random forums reading about women who considered a "low beta" to be 75. lol.

But, I am 23 wks pregnant with a healthy baby girl, and all is well. Your lines are getting darker, and you might have a late implanter or just a plain low beta baby. COngrats.
