Ours is Cherry Creek Independent Study.

Global Adventure Academy.

This spwned by the idea of course, that our learning would be developed around travel...domestically and internationally. DH's income can vary greatly though month to month so that makes it tough. Sometimes we have to be creative about it....like the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco (2hrs away) in February.

Some of you have to have school names? I'm not sure why a state would require that.
our state requires it when you provide them with Notice of Intent to Operate a School. We also have to provide our diplomas and so forth.

I want someone to come up with one of those name formulas, something like: the author of your favorite book, the name of the street you grew up on, and, um something else...

Until somebody figures it out, I don't know what I'll do.

I'm in the same boat. Yeah, I second that someone should create a formula to plug in some variables to see what kind of homeschool names you can come up with.

ETA: Thought of something to start with, anyhow. I want to do something with "Intrinsic"--great meaning. Hmmm, I'll have to think more, I guess.

I want something that implies we are learning in, from, and with the community. So I need the word community in there, lol. Or maybe Neighborhood.

But that is all I've got. And I need a name by next month!

A formula would be great right about now :

In California, we can register as a private school and we need to name it.

We will be starting next year, and I"m leaning towards Willow Corner Academy or school. Our property has a huge willow tree right in the middle, and our house is built on the back corner of the lot- leaving a huge open field out front.

Because the name of our street is Everest.

I don't need to name it but I refer to it as "Homefree Academy" in reference to our unschooling and we are at home and free to learn as we want

our name is lake superior children's house

we started homeschooling with a montessori bent

our homeschool co-op is marquette independent learner's cooperative...m.i.l.c.

and our homeschool growing up was sherwood forest christian school...my stepdad's last name was sherwood....so cheesy i hated it!

i'd like to change our school name, but the kids love it. i like something with harvest in it...not sure....i like home education as opposed to homeschool and learners.....

Ours is Rocky River Academy. We live right near the Rocky River. The kids helped pick it out.

Wow! Our homeschools have the same name!

"Home". (We don't have to name our homeschool in our province.)

Which wouldn't be bad, now that I think about it

So there we go. That's our homeschool name for this year.
I love these!
