I just realized I hadn't added myself here yet!

My name is Sascha and this is baby #3 with an EDD of August 13. We TTC for 10 long months and we are excited!
I have 2 daughters. DD 1 is 11.5 years old and DD 2 is 16 mo. We are hoping for a boy but we will be just as happy with a girl.
I am hoping to have a homebirth. Still working on getting my DH to agree to it!
I am a SAHM since I was 8months pg with #2. I sold my preschool a month before she was born and I am so happy to be out of the daycare biz!

I am so not looking forward to being pg in the summer again! #3 will be born within days of #2's 2nd birthday so August should be a busy month!

I look forward to getting to know you guys better in the next 8 months!

Hi, I'm Jessica married to John. I am a former Marine Officer and he is a Border Patrol Agent. We have a 7 month old DD; Julianne. I'm really not sure if my EDD will be July or Aug since I was EBF DD when I got prego w/o ever getting AF back...I am hoping to continue BF'ing DD, but reality has set in and I will probably have to supplement

Hi Ladies,
I'm Zoie. I'm 37 and live in Livermore, CA (about 40 min east of SF) I have an almost 17mo ds. And lost our daughter Rowan at 23 weeks in Sep. I'm a little nervous to join this thread, but I'm doing it as a positive support of this new baby. So, I may be really active sometimes and really lurking sometimes, we'll see. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and on our journey together.

BTW, I absolutely know this baby will be a boy. Let's see if I'm right next year, huh? Anyone else know for sure in their gut? Or having dreams about it?

I forgot to add me too!
I am Jenn, married to Steve. We have 2 daughters - Hannah is almost 8 and Emma is 5. According to my calc using my ovulation date I am due july 30th, but my doc used my LMP and says he's never been wrong- haha! He says August 3rd.
I have just a regular OB and intend to deliver in the hospital with as little meds as possible (we don't even have epiderals as an option here so that makes it easier!).
My first labour was 33 1/2 hours long and my doc had to break my water.
My second, my water broke at home and my labour was about 6 hours. So hopefully I won't have this third one in the car! LOL
I am guessing this baby is a boy but hard to say if it's because we really want one. But so far I have a million boy names and can't seem to wrap my head around any girl's ones. I am also way more sick with this pg than my 2 girls. We plan to find out via ultrasound. Our second daughter was born with a complete unilateral cleft lip and palate so we will have a 4D ultrasound to look for that as well (our odds of another cleft affected child are 10%) but it is purely cosmetic and I'd take that over anything else than can go wrong with a baby!
So that's my story!

I'm amanda (25), married to Mr.TexasPeach(34). I'm due 8/22 if I use the ovulation date, and 8/20 if I use LMP. This is baby #1 for us. we were charting to avoid, not ttc, so this comes as a huge shock. I love to knit and crochet, and have a whole list of baby things to work on now I'll be using a midwife, and plan on having the baby at home or possibly a free standing birth center.

zoie - I'm about 99% positive this baby is a girl. I've got a gut feeling about it. no other way to describe it. it's weird, because I always wanted a son!

I'll have to keep my intro generic - I have a stalker.

I'm a divorced mother of 1 but expecting #2 with my soulmate. We are Christian and I WOH full time in technology. I hope to get married but after this baby is born so I can wear the wedding dress I already purchased! Yes, this baby was a surprise.

Hi everyone, I'm Sarah! I'm expecting my second in August. I'm not sure of the exact date though, but I think within the first week. I have a 2.5 yo DD, and I'm a full-time nursing student, part-time reference specialist (think librarian w/o an MLS). Dad is my SO of nearly 9 years, still not married!

I'm very excited about # 2, and he's coming around I think.

I'm Kim, married to Greg. I have a ds who is 4 and a dd who is 2. This pregnancy was a complete and total surprise, but we are ecstatic just the same. I'm due somewhere around 8/16. Thanks!

Well, well, well, I just took a HPT this morning to confirm what I've known for the past 5 days. DH and I were going to start TTC in Aug, but it looks like we'll be having a baby then instead of making one. What's REALLY ironic is that I just started charting this month. Too late!!!
I have a 22 month dd who still nurses all night and day. I was hoping to have her weaned before I got pg again. I also wanted her to have all her teeth in first, too, as she's a very bad teether. Oh well, I'm glad to be here anyway.

Hi everyone! I'm Mindy, and I'm expecting baby #3. My EDD is 8/4, but my first two came early, so I wouldn't be surprised if this peanut decided to come early, too. I have two DS, ages 6 and 5. Both were born by c-section (one was an emergency and absolutely medically necessary, the other was a very difficult decision we were forced to make about a premie). So now I'm doing my research about VBAC, to decided what is best decision for me and my family. My heart yearns for my "dream birth" iykwim.

Anyway, I'm glad to take this journey with you all! Best wishes!

Hi. I'm Zookum for now. My best friend hangs out on these boards, and I don't want her to know yet that we're expecting. My hubbie and I live in central Virginia, and this is our first pregnancy. EDD is somewhere around Aug. 23. I'm planning to have the baby at a hospital with a midwife; my first appointment is in early January. We'll be annoucing the good news to our immediate family during Christmas but holding off on telling everyone else. My mom's history of many miscarriages makes me a little wary of telling the world too early.

Just adding myself, though I might be one of the early ones in our DDC, I'm expecting around Aug 1. I know I'm pg, because when I read foosh's simple post (above) I can't stop tears welling up, lol, what a lovely lovely thing to do! In my old age, I'm getting more and more like my grandma, she always used to cry with happiness, lol!

So, speaking of old age, I'm 39 yo, dearest partner is... older than me, lol. The little bean will be our 2nd, my dd is now 18 months. I always have loved kids and when I was in college my friends always thought I'd have a huge family, but I have ended up also loving my career, and dp and I have been hugely career focussed for, geez, I guess 15 years now! But in that time I earned a PhD and a fabulous job..just wish I could work LESS, something I have been WAY better at once I had dd. Also, I have been sick with ms both times, so that definitely cuts way down on working, like it or not, lol.

I am married, to my partner of 15 years, but when I'm not lazy, I prefer to refer to my love as my partner, not my husband. I LOVE my partner and we have a fantastic supportive relationship, but given the history of patriarchy in this world, I have never wanted to be any man's wife. (We got married because we are from different countries, and would not have been able to live and work in the same country without marital immigration privileges-- although I didn't lie, I actually didn't even tell anyone for years.) Plus, I think it is outrageous that in the US and in most places in the world, two committed and loving same-sex partners cannot be married if they so desire. (Yey Canada!)

Okay, now that I've outed myself as an old, works-too-much, anti-heterosexual-hegemony heterosexual, I can tell I'm on my way to making lots of new friends here!

Hugs to all, looking forward to hearing from all as DDC continues, please dont be offended by me-- I know that I'm quite different sometimes from many here! But I've already learned so much from MDC mamas, and look forward to more of the same.

Hello! I'm 32 and DH is 34. We have 2 sons, ages 5 and 3. I had 2 csections, 1 was a failed VBAC. I am very anxious to speak to a doc to see if I can attempt a VBAC again. My EDD is 8/28. I don't really know what else to write about myself, but I"m sure we'll get to know each other well as time goes on.

Well, I guess I'm here too. I tested positive on Friday. This is a huge surprise for us. We were TTA and I had just started to get okay with not having a third.

So I'm pregnant with #3 and estimate my date at 08/18/08.

Thanks, Moonstruck, for helping to make this a welcoming safe place for those of us who aren't straight, and/or married. As a semi-single queer mama-to-be, I personally appreciate it when others make an effort to make these boards inclusive for the non-straight, non-married folks!

Hi, I'm Bo(35) Married to Bob for about 7 years. We have two great boys almost 4 and 2.5 and a sweet tiny little pixie of a girl, Brynn (10 months). We were about ready to start trying to get pregnant again and were trying to figure out how to do that since I hadn't gotten my period back from Brynn when I got a BFP. So coolio, problem solved! We are God loving, Christian, rockin' family that enjoys life (almost) every day! ok, some days suck but I am trying to have a positive attitude. I am pretty new to the crunchier side of life - I often say I am letting my latent hippie out now. There are so many things that I wish I had known "then". But I am glad to know them now. I think that a lot of my natural tendencies were pretty AP though I didn't know that term until recently. I have learned so much from these boards and I am really looking forward to the next 7-8 months with you all!

Hello all,

DH and I are expecting our first children 8-1-08 - twins! We did IVF and saw their little heartbeats at six weeks, we go in again at 8 weeks for another ultrasound. We live in Maryland with our two cats and two dogs. They will be most unhappy when the babies arrive!

I'm considered high risk due to other medical conditions, so we have no choice but to deliver at a hospital. I was really hoping for a birthing center.
