Have you heard of the term "cap it"

A good friend of mine who is in her sixties uses the term "cap it" when saying a baby was crowning. She is surprised that I had never heard that term. Have you all heard of that term? I am thinking it may be an older one.

Maybe she's noticing if there's a caput or not?

I'm thinking she must be talking about a caput too.....

OH! That makes sense. This is the definition I got for caput so I assume that is what she was talking about.

caput: the upper part of the human body or the front part of the body in animals; contains the face and brains; "he stuck his head out the window"

Yeah, it's definitely caput.
