Article on tent nursing?

I recently read on here that nursing with a cover was a risk or SIDS? Is that true? Does anyone have a good article about that?
I was told to cover up in my local library not too long ago. I wrote a letter to my county, but I want to bring in a copy of the printed law but id also like to bring in an article about this and give it to the lady that told me I was required to cover my newborn.

I've never heard that mantioned as a specific risc factor but it wouldn't surprise me if it was. Covering definatly restricts the babies oxygen supply.

Blankets in cribs, soft bedding, including blankets and pillows can all smother a child. It stands to reason that putting a blanket over a baby's head will increase their risk of SIDS, whether they be in a crib or in their mother's arms. Overheating your baby is also not recommended, and is exactly what happens when they are covered with a blanket.

All these sites cite overheating as one of the risks to SIDS. Note especially the last link, where it specifically says to "Make sure your baby's head remains uncovered during sleep" Considering many babies fall asleep at the breast, does it make sense to cover their head, when SIDS organizations specifically say not to do it!

Yes, many sites call this "rebreathing". They specifically state to NOT put objects, especially soft ones, near a baby's face for this reason.
