is there a noise when your water breaks?

I was just going to the bathroom and heard a weird noise in my belly....not like tummy growling or anything...

I was going #2 but I think there was some fluid (just a little bit-could have easily been regular discharge)

Did your tummy make a noise when your water broke?

There was a noise. Like a little "pffft" kind of noise. I was sort of in denial and didn't realize what it was at the time and I just had a slow leak for a few days. Is anything coming out. Like kind of a slight peeing your pants feeling?

there is ALYWAYS a peeing in my pants thing. LOL. Between the discharge and the fact that I am not doing kegels. LOL. What if it did? Would it cause labor or something?

It might have been a "pffffft!" OMG I have no idea though. It could have been gas!

The "noise" I heard with both of my waters breaking was a kind of sumliminal pinging sound/feeling. It's really hard to describe...I was in bed with both, dd's broke with a pop and a trickle (followed by copious amounts of discharge/mucous/etc) and ds's broke with a gush (followed by more gushing).

Since you already have so much discharge it may be hard to tell.

I heard a little pop and my water broke massively with dd#1.

I only experienced ROM with dd, but I've always described it as a soft pop. The truth though, is that I felt the "noise" more than I audibly heard it, if that makes any sense whatsoever. When telling about it, I say "I rolled over in bed and then sat up, and as I did, I heard this really soft pop, and felt a warm slow gush."

So I always say I "heard" it, but that's not precisely accurate. Hmph.

Exactly. It was more of a feeling of a ruptured water balloon than a sound for me, although since it's inside your body the reverberations kind of make a "sound." But mine didn't break until I was in transition.

I am pretty sure it wasnt. I know that sometimes its not a huge gush but my discharge seems to have quit completley since yesterday. NO liquid. weird. I am certain it wasnt ROM though.
