Yeah me too! For various reasons the timing right now for us would be PERFECT. But baby seems to have other ideas.

Tons of contractions yesterday, some quite painful. I believe it was due to my scrubbing the kitchen floor.
39wks today. More than happy to let baby rest for another week and a half. May get ansy if I go past 42wks.

Here and just haning out. The leaking fiasco I had yesterday (probably from running around to get a lot of last minute shopping done) subsided once I was home and sitting. So not much going on here. 39.6! I'm ready little one!

39 weeks and 3,947 days here.
No puke (from the kids) in nearly 24 hours, so that's a good thing.
I'm feeling like I'm getting a cold, though, and that's not so good. I've been loading up on vit. c, echinacea, and elderberry, and I'm thinking seriously about taking some Goldenseal. I mean, what harm could it do at this point? Send me into labor? Bring it on!
My only reservation is that it would just give me a irritable uterus, and nothing more. Or that it would send me into labor, but then I'll have a newborn and a cold.
: Which wouldn't be fun.
My midwife has one other client who was due on the 7th, and I just heard that she had her baby this morning! Woo-hoo! So at least I can relax that there's no longer any competition out there, LOL!
Last night, my mom watched the kids and dh and I went to the chiro, and then to a movie. We saw I Am Legend. It was pretty good....I loved the book ages ago, and I love Will Smith, so it was a good evening. It left me just jittery enough that I thought maybe I'd get some decent contractions out of it, but no dice!
Ah well. Babies come when babies are ready to come!
Update: I have lovely diarrhea! Unfortunately, I think it probably has less to do with a pre-birth clean-out and more to do with the stomach virus my kids have been sharing. Meh.

40w4d here. With DD...this was the night I went into labor. Hoping this little one follows in his big sister's footsteps. I'm going to get some accupuncture today to see if I can get this party started. He is pretty much totally out of room AND now I have a scratchy throat and congestion. Fun!

Still here, still contracting. I kept waking up last night with contractions that just didn't do anything. I thought for sure that it was it last night-guess not!

I guess I was crying wolf...either a false start or a really slow start. Lots of ctx, but I don't know if they continued while I fitfully slept. Woke lots and lots of peeing, but no discharge or pooping.
I'm 40 + 1. Had no idea going over that stupid EDD would leave me so discourage, cranky, and anxious.
I don't want to get out of bed.

Still here...
39w2d...
Finally bought some RRL tea.... seemed to bring on some contractions that had phased out for a while. Very interesting... but didn't go anywhere. Am I the only one who think that tea tastes NASTY?!
Off for a long walk this morning to hopefully keep my body ripe and ready for the big moment...
Wish me luck!

Its my due date!
No baby, imagine that.
People keep asking me "when the big day is?" I look at them cross-eyed and say "Ummm. I dont know?"
The kids woke up at 5 AM and I didnt get back to sleep so I will probably literally sit on my ass all day and do NOTHING. I am so tired.
Dh wants me to go into labor on Weds.
I think all herbal tea is nasty.
Just buy the pills.

I've been having ctx that wake me up all night, but they are very irregular - definitely not labor. Also feeling a little crampy, but I'm almost positive it's just gas cramps. Today would be the ideal day to have a baby, since my mom will be here, and the pool has to go back Monday. I'm starting to think that should be the only item I put on my to do list every morning: Have baby.
Ooh, SheBear, what fun! We were going to see I Am Legend last night, but DH's team at work was taken out to supper instead. I've been waiting to see this movie since I saw the trailer this spring. I think I'd rather have a baby tonight than a trip to the movies, though.

39 + 2 here. Lots of annoying knee pain, which I posted about in another thread. Mainly aggravating because I've got so much on my to-do list for today, but being on my feet hurts so bad! Other than that, the normal crampiness but not much else. Think I'll be here for a while.

I hope I'm not butting in since I just discovered this board recently....I think some of you guys share my due date...that's cool! I'm also hoping for a baby today (my due date is tomorrow), but I've been thinking "this is it" for like 3 weeks, so I'm afraid to get my hopes up again. On the plus side, I've had some kind of bloody show since yesterday and ob swore I'd be in labor by this afternoon, so...maybe.

39w3d here. Went shopping and ate out last night. had some spicy Mexican - it didnt start anything just gave me gas which is lovely, now I do not want to go into labor.
Unfortunately my DH's DD from his first marriage is having some drama that he thinks he needs to go and see her about so he may be traveling 2 and a half hours away today in the snow storm we are expecting. I am trying not to be a big baby about it and it is not like I am contracting or anything so it will probably be fine but still - what if I go into labor and it is quick and he misses it? Plus, again I am being a big baby but this is just terrible timing for all of this drama to happen, so now the focus is not on the new baby but rather on the drama that seems to follow the exwife and family around. AHHHH!!!!
I know part of it is just that I am turning into a whale - I have no pants to wear, can hardly get up on my own and just feel huge - perhaps whales are less compassionate than people and that is why I am being so irrational about this.
Hope you all enjoy your weekend and that there are more baby stories to read when I log on again.
I have to drink it super fast before it cools off too much or else I cannot swallow it and that is after adding honey. Some people say they love the taste of it - I am not one of those people.

38 and a bit and I still most definitely have a belly full of baby. I was supposed to go to all these fabulous parties last night and instead I punked out on everyone and stayed home and cooked an obscene amount of food to fill up the freezer. I made lentil soup, basil pesto, puttanesca sauce, and banana nut bread. I also got a bunch of minestrone in there last week so I'm pretty sure we won't starve in the immediate post partum period, and it's all good healthy stuff made from real ingredients. I'd make some more stuff today but the freezer is full.
I'm planning on doing a bunch of stuff around the house today, buying the last couple christmas presents and maybe getting a haircut.
Ooh, and Aaron got a 25 percent raise yesterday! He was planning on asking for one after he finished this big project, but not that much. And he didn't even have to ask, they just offered. He does really good work and IMHO he deserves every penny of it.
Here's hoping Mrs. Wake_Up had her baby.

I'm sorry. That sucks. Hopefully you don't pick up the puking, too.Quote:

I slept better last night but the ctx stopped. Gosh. I sooooo thought it was it. It was pretty bad for awhile. ::grumbles insanely to herself::
